Thomas A. Voyles Sr.

He was a member of Eastview Baptist Church in Henderson, KY. He enjoyed NASCAR and used to be a race car driver. He enjoyed playing cards and John Wayne was his idol.

Thomas was preceded in death by his wife of 45 years, Mary Katherine, in 1992; sons, Charles Franklin, Thomas Allen Jr. and Billy Voyles; and granddaughter, Joyce Krietemeyer.

He is survived by his daughters, Roberta “Bobbie” Jean Merritt and Mary Ann Biggs; son, David Lee Voyles; sister, Margaret Ann Holloway; brothers, Charles Robert and Wallace Joe Voyles; grandchildren, Tina Marie and Billy Lee Somers, David Earl Hanes, William Lee Murphy, Kandie Kay, Misty Lynn and David Andrew Voyles, Heather Dawn and Mary Katherine Gibson, Charles Bland, Julie Bond, Kimberly Mercer, James and Kenneth Krietemeyer, Jackie Brandenstein, Daniel Humphrey, Daniel Bell, JoAnna Elpers and Scott Hedinbock; many great-grandchildren; and many great-great-grandchildren.

Services were held 11:00 AM Wednesday, April 28, 2010, at Alexander West Chapel, officiated by Bro. Jerry Pearcy with burial in Greenwood Cemetery, Chandler, IN. Friends visited Tuesday from 2:00 to 8:00 PM at the funeral home.
