Verle Roper Halterman

She enjoyed being around her family. Verle retired from General Tire and was a member of North Park Baptist Church. She also enjoyed watching Wheel of Fortune, playing cards, and traveling.

Verle was preceded in death by her husband, John D. Halterman, Sr. in 1990; daughter, Carolyn Bradham; grandson, Bobby Bradham; brothers, Howard and Carnie Roper; sister, Norma Amberg.

She is survived by her sons, John Halterman, Jr. (Martha) of Henderson and Charles Halterman (Janet) of Clermont, FL; daughter, Marilyn Halterman (Jim Wolf) of Evansville; grandchildren, David, Becky, Charlie, and Chris Halterman, Jimmy, Jr. and Jeff Horne, and Danny Bradham; eight great-grandchildren; brother, Gerald Roper; and sister, Jeanette Jones.

Services will be held at 11:00 AM Wednesday, July 11, 2012 at Alexander North Chapel, officiated by Rev. Art Christmas and Rev. William Amberg with entombment at Alexander Memorial Park Cemetery. Friends may visit Tuesday from 4:00 to 8:00 PM at the funeral home.
