Nell and her late husband, Bill, were married 65 years prior to his death in 2007. She was a former member of the First Baptist Church and enjoyed her association with Zion Evangelical United Church of Christ after she and Bill returned to Evansville from living in Florida for many years. Nell’s family and friends were the center of her life and were the recipients of her love, generosity, caring devotion, and beautifully handcrafted gifts.
In addition to her husband, Bill, her parents, Wilbur and Ailene, Nell was preceded in death by her brothers, Marion, Robert, and William Meeks; and sisters, Imogene Meeks, Ann Bernhardt, and Betty Shaw.
She is survived by her loving family including daughters, Nancy (Michael) Roberts of Evansville and Pamela (Robert) Blessing of Fishers; son, Walter (Marsha) Morris of Slidell, LA; five granddaughters, Stephanie (Sean) Senff of Evansville, Melissa (William) Martin of Indianapolis, Jennifer (Christopher Smearing) Roberts of Portland, OR, Angela Morris of Oklahoma City, OK, and Amy (Brent) Williams of Sellersburg, IN; eight great-grandchildren, Sean William Senff II, Seana Stilwell, Kassie Senff, Connor Bright, Luke Bright, Jacob Martin, Benjamin Martin, and Owen Williams; two great-great grandchildren, Khyra Stilwell and Elliot Stilwell; and nieces and nephews.
The family gratefully acknowledges the assistance and care of the staff of the Good Samaritan Home South Hall and Pathways throughout Nell’s stay.
