Walter "Tab" Wood

He attended Calvary Temple Church and worked as a model maker at Whirlpool for over 30 years. Tab was a talented guitar player, and enjoyed golf and fishing. He also enjoyed motorcycles and loved working on his 1960 Corvette.

Tab was preceded in death by sisters, Charlotte Wood Parton, Edith Wood Statzer and Mary Ellen Ethridge and brothers, George Wood and Richard Wood.

He is survived by his wife of 52 years, Judy Wood; sons, Clint Wood (Dezarae) and Chad Wood (Beth); grandchildren, Cory Wood (Jorhdan), Cody Wood (Alyssa) and Christian Wood; great-grandchildren, Jaylei Wood and Chayce Wood; sisters, Sylvia Will and Liz Wood-Walker; brothers, John Wood and Raymond Wood; nephew, Don Wood, and several other nieces and nephews.

A Funeral Service will be at 1:00 p.m., Monday, June 14, 2021 at Alexander North Chapel, 4200 Stringtown Road, officiated by Rev. Jeff Edmonson, with burial in Alexander Memorial Park. Friends may visit Monday from 11:00 a.m. until service time.
