William Larry Danks

William Larry Danks, 87, of Clarksville, IN passed away Monday, September 1, 2025, at Hosparus Health Inpatient Care Center in Louisville KY. He was born in Evansville, IN on September 18, 1937, to the late Fred and Ruth Danks.

Larry graduated from Bosse High School of Evansville in 1955. He was a loving husband, father, grandfather, and great-grandfather. Larry was a talented artist and excelled at repairing and building things at work or home. He loved passing on this knowledge to his children. Larry was a lifelong IU basketball fan and enjoyed watching sports on TV. He was a lifelong member of the Lutheran Church.

He was preceded in death by his loving wife of 58 years, Janet Louise Danks.

Larry is survived by his children, Dirk (Shelly) Danks, Derek (Rhonda) Danks, Dianna (Jeff) Carlson; grandchildren, Allie (Jacob) Brown, Heath Weatherholt, Hailee and Maia Danks, William Carlson; and great grandchildren, Annabelle, Everett, and Claire Brown.

A Graveside Service will be held at 3:00 p.m. on Saturday, September 13, 2025, at Alexander Memorial Park Chapel of Remembrance, 2200 Mesker Park Dr., Evansville, IN 47720 with Rev. Rich Kirschner officiating. Friends and family are welcome to attend.
