William Lee Hyatt Sr., 85, of Evansville, IN passed away Friday, November 20, 2020. He was born on July 9, 1935 to the late Walter and Wanda Hyatt.
Bill graduated from Central High School and proudly served in the US Navy and traveled through the Mediterranean on an aircraft carrier. He worked at Servel and Arkla. He was president of the local Machinist 1900 for 10 years. Bill chaperoned for deaf and blind children with EVSC for over 20 years. He bowled for many years, and played in multiple leagues, especially at Franklin Lanes.
William was preceded in death by his wife, Carol Hyatt; daughter, Tammie Mosher.
He is survived by his son, William L. Hyatt, Jr (Margaret); daughter, Wendy L. Reel; six grandchildren; brother, Robert Hyatt (Dorothy); one great grandson; nieces, nephews and cousins.
A funeral service will be held at 12:00 noon Monday November 30, 2020 at Alexander West Chapel with burial to follow in Alexander Memorial Park. Friends may visit Monday 10:00 a.m. until service time. The funeral will be live streamed at www.facebook.com/FuneralStreamUSA.
