William W. Jackson, 70, of Evansville, passed away Saturday, August 1, 2015, at Deaconess Hospital. He was born August 16, 1944, in Washington, NC, to the late Lorenzo Leon and Elma Lee (Hampton) Jackson.
He was a Veteran of the US Navy and was an owner/operator truck driver for over 45 years. He recently gave his life to Christ and had attended Eagles View Church.
William was preceded in death by his granddaughter, Allie; and brothers, Donald, Bobby, and John Jackson.
He is survived by his wife of 50 years, Sharon (Lively) Jackson; son, William Joseph (Cheri) Jackson; daughters, Bobbi Jo (Mark) Bottomley, Joann (Steve) Bogard and Lora Jackson-Biggs; grandchildren, Tyler, Kelsey, Colton (Morgan), Sophia, Taylor, Shane, Mason, and Ava; and great-grandchild, Isabella Klaire.
Funeral Services will be 1:00 PM Tuesday, August 4, 2015, at Alexander West Chapel, officiated by Pastor Mike Pyle, with military honors in Alexander Memorial Park by the Vanderburgh County Retired Memorial Club. Friends and family may visit Tuesday from 11:00 AM until service time at the funeral home.
