William "Bill" Oscar Schindler, Sr.

Bill worked as a radiator repairman for his entire career and was the owner of Edd’s Radiator Shop until his retirement. Bill was a life member of the Evansville Masonic Lodge #64, Scottish Rite, York Rite, and the Hadi Shrine. Bill was a DeMolay advisor for fifteen years. He was also a life member of the Germania Maennerchor, Owls and River Bend. In his retirement, he enjoyed his family and grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents; wife of 68 years, Agnes Schindler; son, Ronald Schindler; son-in-law, Keith Becker; granddaughter, Christina Schindler; and great-grandson, Izrael Kirsch.

William is survived by his son, William O. Schindler, Jr.; daughters, Patricia Buck (Dirk) and Cynthia Becker; adopted daughter, Linda Grimwood; half-brothers, Mike Schindler and Charles Schindler; grandchildren, Kim Wilder, Kevin Kirsch, Christian Buck, Amanda Becker, Nick Becker, and Sean Becker; great- grandchildren, Jailyn Wilder, Jerzi Wilder, Faith Kirsch and Isaiah Kirsch.

A masonic service followed by a prayer service will begin at 1:00 pm on Wednesday, July 31, 2024 at Alexander West Chapel, 2100 W. Illinois Street, Evansville, IN, with burial in Alexander Memorial Park.
