

He retired from Whirlpool in 1992. He was a member of Holy Rosary Catholic Church for 49 years and was a member of the Bereavement Club there. He was known for his backyard barbeques and enjoyed gardening, dancing and watching Westerns. He loved spending time with his family and will be greatly missed.
William was preceded in death by his wife of 49 years, Judy Taylor; parents, Carl W. and Ethel (Stone) Taylor; and sister, Betty Holland.
He is survived by his daughter, Peggy Newman (John Deckard) of Bloomington; sons, Bryant Taylor (Joanne) of Newburgh, William J. Taylor, Jr. and Ron Taylor (Rebecca Sullivan), both of Evansville; grandchildren, Jason and Jarod Newman, Keith (Shelley), Richard (Amanda), Carl (Anna), Brandon (Jamie) and Sharon Taylor, Karen Horton, Mallory Howard (Matt) and Katie Brazzell (Ben); 16 great-grandchildren; sister, Carolyn Mulligan of Owensboro, KY; ten nieces and nephews; and several cousins.
A Funeral Mass will be held at 11:00 AM Tuesday, April 26, 2011, at Holy Rosary Catholic Church, 1301 South Green River Road, officiated by Fr. Bernard Etienne, with entombment in Park Lawn Cemetery. Friends may visit Monday from 2:00 to 8:00 PM at Alexander East Chapel, 2115 Lincoln Avenue, with a memorial service at 7:00 PM.
