

Bill was born on September 28, 1941 in Seattle, WA, to Guy 'Bud' and Virginia Godfrey. He joined the US Navy Reserve while attending Sealth High School in West Seattle. After graduating in 1960, he went on to serve active duty in the US Navy's Submarine Force until 1963. He then returned to the Northwest with his wife and small son. As his family grew they settled in Snohomish and became very involved in hobby farming. Bill also enjoyed traveling with his family, summer camping, boating, and being a wonderful grandpa. He was a member of the US Submarine Veterans and enjoyed the camaraderie of fellow shipmates.
Bill is survived by his loving wife of 49 years, Christina; son, Michael Godfrey (Brenda) of Snohomish; daughters, Jeanine Warner (Ray) of Everett and Bonnie Godfrey of Park City, UT; and three grandchildren, Alexander Lendaro, Shannon Warner, and Samantha Warner. Cousins, who were more like siblings, include Don Harrell, Guy Farmer, Dianne Kolb and Joan Owen.
Visitation hours will be on Wednesday, June 22, 2011 from 10 a.m. - 5 p.m. at Purdy & Walters with Cassidy, 1702 Pacific Ave, in Everett, 425-252-2191. A Memorial Mass will be held on Saturday, June 25, 2011 at 11 a.m. at Our Lady of Perpetual Help Church, 2619 Cedar St, Everett, WA
