

Byron N. Boyd, 86, of Marysville, Washington passed away Friday, January 20, 2012. Byron was born January 1, 1926 to James Oscar Boyd and Cecile Rae Watkins Boyd in Woodbine, Iowa. Byron was raised on a farm with his parents and two brothers, Kenneth and Merrell. He joined the U.S. Army Air Corps serving in WWII as a ball turret gunner on B-17’s.
He owned and operated Snohomish Auto Body with his brother Merrell for many years. Then in the early 1980’s, moved to Mt. Vernon when he went to work for Pemco Insurance until he retired.
He was preceded in death by his parents, his brothers, two daughters, Patricia Hintz and Cheryl Daniels and his wife Miriam.
He leaves behind his loving children, Larry (Wanda) Boyd, David (Debbie) Boyd, Lynda Jackson, Claudia (Jack) McCall, Sandra Hall and LaRee Marra and his many wonderful grandchildren and great grandchildren.
Our Dad and Grandfather will be deeply missed. He taught us all values and how to be loyal and faithful to family. His family took priority in his life and he enjoyed spending time with them often.
Visitation will be Thursday, January 26th from 10 am – 7 pm and Friday from 9am – 10 am at Purdy & Walters with Cassidy.
Graveside Service will be at 11 am on Friday, January 27th at Cypress Lawn Memorial Park, Everett, Washington.
Memorial Service will be held at 1:00 pm on Friday, January 27th at Victory Foursquare Church, 11911 State AVE Marysville WA 98271.
