Ethel P. Hatchel

Ethel Patricia Hatchel passed away on Sunday, June 24th, 2012 after a short illness. She was born in Everett Washington to James and Mabel Hatchel on January 3, 1921. Ethel attended Immaculate Conception School during her elementary and middle school days and graduated from Everett High with the class of 1938.

After graduating from high school and beauty school she was employed at Betty’s Beauty Salon where she had many loyal and friendly clients. Ethel will be remembered as an incredibly caring, loving, compassionate and generous person.

She is survived by her sister Margaret O’Connell of Tacoma, Washington and her brother Robert Hatchel of Stillwater Minnesota and many nieces and nephews. Ethel was preceded in death by her brother, James Hatchel and her sister Bernice Bunney.

The family would like to extend their heartfelt appreciation to Ethel’s special care-giver, her niece Mary Callaghan with support from Mary’s husband Bill. We would also like to thank the care-givers, residents and their families from Amy’s Adult Care Home where Ethel has lived for the last four years.

Funeral Mass will be held at Immaculate Conception Church, 2501 Hoyt Everett on Saturday June 30th at 11:00 A.M. A reception will follow; burial will be at Evergreen Cemetery at 1:30 P.M.
