

Howard (Bud) Wildman Bacon, 88, of Everett WA., died February 11, 2013. Bud was born May 30, 1924 in Tacoma, WA to Howard and Leona Walker Bacon. Bud’s life can be characterized by his strong faith in Jesus Christ. Whether he was on the golf course, fishing, or working 42 years for the Burlington Northern, his Christian ethic shone through. Bud graduated from Marysville High School and Everett Junior College with a degree in civil engineering. He was faithful to his church, First Baptist Church of Everett, serving the Lord in various capacities. Bud also served his country in the US Navy on the USS Raymon W. Herdon. Camping, travel, weekend rides in the car, allowed him to see the world, but more than that, it allowed him to spend valued time with family and friends whom he loved and who loved him. He loved competitive sports, especially Husky football and Mariner baseball. His love, his humor and wit will sorely be missed by Marguerite, the love of his life & wife of 65 ½ years, sons Paul (Pam), William (Rebecca), daughter Mary Robinson (Willie), 13 grandchildren, Andrew, Joel, Jane, Jesse, Mary, Anna, John, Paul, Emily, Matthew, Michael, William, & Mark, 11 great grandchildren, sister Joan Hudon of Berrian Springs, MI., and numerous nieces and nephews. Preceded in death were his parents, Howard and Leona Bacon, sisters Barbara Greaves, Kittie Lou Chandler, and daughter Jane Ann Bacon. A celebration of Bud’s life will be held on Tuesday, Feb. 26, 2013 at 3:00pm at First Baptist Church of Everett, 1616 Pacific Ave., Everett, WA 98201. Memorials in his name may be made to First Baptist church of Everett.
