Naanak Kis No Aakheeai Vin Pushhiaa Hee Lai Jaae ||31||

नानक किस नो आखीऐ विणु पुछिआ ही लै जाइ ॥३१॥

O Nanak, unto whom should we complain? Death takes one's life away without anyone's consent. ||31||

ਜੇਹਾ ਚੀਰੀ ਲਿਖਿਆ ਤੇਹਾ ਹੁਕਮੁ ਕਮਾਹਿ ॥

Jaehaa Cheeree Likhiaa Thaehaa Hukam Kamaahi ||

जेहा चीरी लिखिआ तेहा हुकमु कमाहि ॥

As His Decree is issued, so is His Command obeyed.

ਘਲੇ ਆਵਹਿ ਨਾਨਕਾ ਸਦੇ ਉਠੀ ਜਾਹਿ ॥੧॥

Ghalae Aavehi Naanakaa Sadhae Outhee Jaahi ||1||

घले आवहि नानका सदे उठी जाहि ॥१॥

Those who are sent, come, O Nanak; when they are called back, they depart and go. ||1||

ਫਰੀਦਾ ਦਰੀਆਵੈ ਕੰਨ੍ਹ੍ਹੈ ਬਗੁਲਾ ਬੈਠਾ ਕੇਲ ਕਰੇ ॥

Fareedhaa Dhareeaavai Kannhai Bagulaa Baithaa Kael Karae ||

फरीदा दरीआवै कंन्है बगुला बैठा केल करे ॥

Fareed, the crane perches on the river bank, playing joyfully.

ਕੇਲ ਕਰੇਦੇ ਹੰਝ ਨੋ ਅਚਿੰਤੇ ਬਾਜ ਪਏ ॥

Kael Karaedhae Hanjh No Achinthae Baaj Peae ||

केल करेदे हंझ नो अचिंते बाज पए ॥
