She grew up in south Everett, WA on 62nd Street and attended Everett schools. Sometime in 1947 she met the love of her life, Harris Trautman and on April 23, 1948, they were married in Everett. They lived in the Everett-Marysville area for several years, during which time they were blessed with five beautiful children. During the 1950's and early 60's the family moved from Everett, living in Lakewood, Stanwood and Snohomish; all the time, Marcella and Harris lovingly raised their children and instilled in them the values that ultimately produced five wonderful adults.
In 1970 Harris's career took Marcella and three of the children to southern California. In 1975 they returned to Washington, settling into a home in Marysville. There they started an antique and collectibles business known as Smokey Point Stuff & Junque, which they operated for several years.
Marcella worked for many years at GTE Phone Mart and eventually retired from there to pursue the antiques business, known as Family Treasures. Together she and Harris developed a successful business specializing in appraisals for estate sales. By this time the children had left the nest to pursue life; even so, Marcella continued to maintain a loving and welcome presence in their lives, which will endure in their hearts.
Marcella was preceded in passing by her husband, Harris M. Trautman; parents, Charles Afton Mitchell and Edith Margaret (White) Mitchell; brothers, Charles Afton Mitchell, Jr. and Clinton Thompson Mitchell; and sister, Barbara Jane Mitchell.
She is survived by her children, Terry (Robyn) Trautman, Morrie Trautman, Dennis (Lori) Trautman, Sharron (Dan) Malsom and Karen (Chuck) Phillips; grandsons, Ryan (Jessica) Trautman, Lee (Cory Mootz) Trautman, Daniel Trautman, David Trautman, Tait Trautman and Jake Malsom; granddaughter, Rebecca Trautman; great-grandson, Jordan Trautman; and great-granddaughter, Dakota Trautman; step-grandson, Benjamin Noblitt; step-granddaughters, Rachel Noblitt, Necia Noblitt, Esther Noblitt, Elinor (Noblitt) Brennen, Samantha (Noblitt) Brennen and Liliana (Noblitt) Davis. She is also survived by her brother, Phillip Lawrence (Jeanne) Mitchell.
Marcella leaves a beautiful legacy of love and happy memories to her family, relatives and many close friends.
