Richard James Knapp

Richard James Knapp, born September 30, 1929 in Redwood City, CA, passed away on December 19, 2011 in Everett, WA. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, bowling, and spending time with his family and friends. He also was an avid boxer in high school. Richard is survived by his loving wife of 27 years, Lola, children Karen Houghton and her husband Downey of Soquel, CA, Richard J. Knapp Jr. of Redwood City, CA and David A. Knapp and his wife Debbie Allen of Lodi, CA, Larry Bethel and his wife Lori, Ronnie Bethel and his wife Carol, Timothy Bethel and his wife Laurie, Lita Bethel, and James Owens, brother Bud Knapp of Chico, CA, 8 grandchildren, and 8 great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by a brother and a sister. Visitation will be held on Thursday, December 22, 2011 from 12-5PM at Purdy & Walters with Cassidy Funeral Home, 1702 Pacific Ave., Everett, 425-252-2191. A graveside service will be held on Friday, December 23, 2011 at 1PM at Cypress Lawn Memorial Park, 1615 SE Everett Mall Way, Everett.
