Wade D. Childs

Wade Childs, 85, of Everett, passed away November 20, 2010.

Wade was born on April 12, 1925 in Lowell, Washington Wade, was a World War II Veteran and served on the USS West Virginia. He worked for Scott Paper Company for 41 years. He loved the outdoors, if he wasn't bowling, he would be fishing, hunting and camping. Wade and Vivian enjoyed traveling in their motorhome.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Lyndon and Amelia Childs; two sisters, Ethel (Ken) Bond and Meril Long.

Wade is survived by his wife, Vivian; two daughters, Barbara (Doug) Thompson, Lynne Dodgson (Bill); his sister, Dorothy (Bob) Cowley,

brother-in-law, Merle Long; 4 grandchildren, 6 great grandchildren, numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.

Visitation will be Wednesday from 12 noon – 5 p.m. at Purdy & Walters with Cassidy.

Funeral Service will be held at 10:00 a.m. Friday, November 26, 2010 at Purdy & Walters with Cassidy.

Private burial at Cypress Lawn Memorial Park, Everett, Washington.
