Anna T. Christensen

Anna Christensen (nee Wolff), 76, beloved wife, mother and long-time resident of Chicago, passed away May 29th in her home after a long battle with ovarian cancer. She is survived by her husband Gerald (Jerry) Christensen, her daughters, Anita and Erica, her loving sister, Mary Mitchell (nee Wolff), and beloved dog Tootsie. Anna was born in Chicago in 1943. She graduated from Kelly High School in 1961. She worked as a secretary at RR Donnelly. In 1967 she married Jerry. They remained married until her passing. In the early 1970’s, she started as a legal secretary for Ross and Hardies and later with McGuire and Woods until 2010. In the 1990’s, Anna found her passion in collecting and dealing antiques. She held spaces in several antique malls around the Southside of Chicago and South Suburban areas where she developed lifelong friends who shared her interests. She was an avid reader, dog lover, garage sale/thrift store enthusiast and antique aficionado. Anna was a sweet and caring wife, mother, sister and friend. She was cherished by everyone and will be missed by all. In lieu of flowers, please consider a donation in her memory to The Clearity Foundation or PAWS in Tinley Park.

Services will be private at Kenny Brothers with a memorial at a later date. Anna will be interned at Evergreen Cemetery.
