

Audrey Eleanor Griffith was born June 23rd 1943 to the late Dudley and Dora Griffith, in Belize, Central America. Audrey was the seventh child out of eight children from this union. Audrey gave her life to Christ at an early age. She attended Holy Redeemer School and graduated from St. Catherine’s Academy specializing in education. Audrey worked as a teacher in Belize before she migrated to America in the early1970.
Audrey was a lover of children and become a nanny in New York caring for infants. Audrey was loved by all those who came in contact with her.
Audrey was an amazing cake decorator and was a lover of gardening and traveling. Her recent trip to Jerusalem brought her closer to God. She was a devoted member of Christian Kingdom Diplomat Center.
In 1980, she permanently moved back to Belize where she continued to work with children as a teacher at Ebenezer Methodist, Wesley Primary, Holy Redeemer, and Grace Primary School. She also did volunteer work at local hospitals, nursing homes and the correctional facility.
When diagnosed with cancer in 2015, she remained dedicated to teaching, children and her Christian faith.
Audrey went home to be with the Lord on Saturday, December 5, 2015. She is preceded in death by her brother Gilbert Griffith, sister Dolores Griffith-Gonzalez-Munoz and niece and nephews Betty Jean Griffith, Ludrick Griffith, Elvis Griffith, and Mario Gonzalez.
Audrey leaves to cherish her memory, her siblings: Curlett, Owen (Sonia), Dudley Jr. (Zelma), Marjorie and Bernard (Ethlin) and a host of nieces and nephews.
