He was employed fulltime as a Tow Truck Driver for North Shore Towing Company in Evanston IL. He also worked part time as a carpenter and a self-employed auto mechanic, he loved to get his hands dirty.
Since he was a small child Eddie had a love for dogs. During his childhood years he would bring dogs home that he felt needed a little TLC and despite his parents disapproval Eddie made a way to provide food and shelter for these animals. As a teenager he developed a passion for motorcycle riding.
Eddie enjoyed life to the fullest and was always the life of any event he would attend or host. Most important to Eddie was his children and family. His love for his family was unconditional and truly heart felt. Eddie had a loving, caring and giving personality that was extended to all. His love for children will always be apart of his legacy. When it came to family Eddie was a very traditional guy that always wanted family to be together and no matter what it took he would make it happen; he lived for his children, his wife and friend who he loved unconditionally. His mother was his everything and his dad was his hero. His big sister Twinkie, whom he cherished, had a bond so strong that is was unbreakable. His brother whom was his partner for life, (the Lone Ranger and Tonto, as we called them) and his sister Ping was his gem.
Eddie’s Big Mama, Lamoris Lattimore and his Big Daddy Porter McGee preceded him in death.
On November 24, 2014 Eddie was called home to rest in heaven.
He leaves to cherish his precious memories: wife Michele, children: Edward III, Jamal, Mareon, Jazzmen, Cameron, Nya, Tatyana and Devante ; Parents Vonnie Miller and Edward Miller, Sr. sisters: Laquette Ford and Daphine Miller, brother: Eric Miller, all of Chicago, Illinois. A host of beloved nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, cousins and friends.
Our love one is gone to heaven.
God chose to take you, although we didn’t want you to go. He said don’t cry because it’s time for you to come home.
Our hearts are so heavy and our pain is deep, but we have to trust that it was time for you to sleep. Forever engrained in our spirits you will be, and one day we won’t be crying but rejoicing your life because God has said you’re alright.
Humbly submitted by the family.
