

Rudy was well educated. He was always seeking opportunities to enrich his education. He graduated from East Liverpool High School in 1974, Ohio University in 1978 with a bachelor’s degree in business, and obtained an MBA from Benedictine University in 2005.
Rudy had a distinguished career in the corporate world. A career marked by challenges and success. He was a Management Consultant at Challenger, Gray, and Christmas, Inc. A Key Accountant Executive at Abbott Diagnostic, Senior Salesman with Canon Business Solutions, and District Sales Manager with Xerox Corporation for more than twenty-two years (1981-2003). Working for Xerox, Rudy obtained many awards and recognitions. In 1996 Rudy was recognized as the #2 Sales Manager in the United States. His success in business can be attributed to his work ethic and natural charisma.
Rudy was an all-star athlete and avid sports fan. Rudy grew up playing many sports and continued a lifestyle of health and fitness in his adult life. His favorite leisure activities including cheering for the Pittsburgh Steelers and playing golf. He enjoyed music, R&B and jazz being his favorites. Rudy enjoyed travel to warm climates, his favorite place being Hawaii. Rudy was very outgoing and enjoyed spending time with friends and family at family gatherings. Rudy always carried a smile and a laugh.
Rudolph Elliott Jones, 58, of Atlanta, Georgia and Aurora, Illinois went back to God Sunday January 18, 2015.
Rudy was predeceased by his two siblings, Pamela J. Jones and Tariq Abdul Ahad (aka Curtis C. Jones).
He is survived by his two children, Rudolph, Jr. and Alana Jones both of Aurora, Illinois; brother James C. Jones (Colleen M.) of Chicago, Illinois and his sister Jamila Jones (aka Gloria G. Jones) of East Lansing, Michigan. He is also survived by numerous aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews other relatives and cherished friends.
Rudy was dearly loved and will be truly missed.
