

Alfred Combs, age 72, of Fairborn died on Monday, October 13, 2014 at Hospice of Dayton surrounded by his loving family. He was born the son of Rufus & Sarah (Brewer) Combs on December 6, 1941 in Ary, Kentucky. He is preceded in death by his parents, 3 brothers, 3 sisters, grandson Justin Combs, son-in-law Billy Dean Pancake, and father-in-law Albert A. Callison. He is survived by his high school sweetheart and wife of 52 years Patty Combs, his loving daughters Georgeanna (Frank) West, Christina Pancake, and Rita Sigalos, loving sisters Beatrice Campbell and Pauline Moore, a loving brother Sam Combs, loving grandchildren Alfred J. Combs, Sarah E. Pancake, Michael A. Pancake, Danielle R. Combs, and Kirstin B. Sigalos, special friends Ed & Marilyn Cromer, and many nieces and nephews. Alfred retired from General Motors after many years of faithful service. He was a longtime member of Victory Temple (formerly Fairborn Church of God). He enjoyed golf and wood working. He and his wife also enjoyed traveling across this great nation on a motorcycle visiting all lower 48 states and Canada on three occasions. Alfred was a loving husband, father, brother, and grandfather. He will be missed by all who love him. Friends may call on Thursday, October 16, 2014 5PM to 7PM at Victory Temple Church 2443 Valle Greene Dr. Fairborn, Ohio where services will be on Friday, October 17, 2014 at 10AM at the church with Pastor Ancil Carter and Pastor Tim Walden officiating.
