Alfred Kenneth Grody

Alfred K. Grody age 83 of Fairborn passed away Monday, July 28, 2014 at Soin Medical Center. He was born on November 30, 1930 the son of Everett & Goldie (Edminson) Grody in Osborn, Ohio. Alfred is preceded in death by his parents, his loving wife Virginia of 61 years, brothers Elden, Clarence, and Cecil Grody, and a sister Melvina Proctor. He is survived by his 4 children Kenny (Belinda) Grody, Cindy Mordini, Phil Grody (Joni Newland), and Missy Slusher (Jeff Johannes), 6 grandchildren: Melissa Grody, Paul Mordini, Josh Slusher, Jenninfer Grody, Jennifer Carwile, and Greg Slusher, 7 great grandchildren Brianna Grody, Emileah Slusher, Keira Carwile, Alyss Carwile, Jayden Slusher, Maycie Slusher, and Isobel Mordini, a brother Carl Grody, and sisters Lucille Tippy, Gladys Sanders, Violet Dixon, and Josephine White. Alfred served his county in the United States Army and he was a member of FOE 2641 Fairborn. No one was a stranger to this big personality of a man. Everyone in his life was truly blessed to be able to call him a friend. Alfred was a loving husband, father, grandfather, and friend. He will be missed by all who love him. Friends may call in the Burcham Jennings Funeral Home 119 E. Main St., Fairborn Ohio on Thursday, July 31, 2014 5 to 7PM. A funeral will be held on Friday, August 1, 2014 at 11AM at the funeral home with Pastor John Heading officiating. Interment will follow at the New Carlisle Cemetery.
