

He was preceded in death by his father, Walter B. Slye and by his son, David A. Slye.
Andy is survived by his mother, Mary Helen (Slye) Lester, son Freddy Baldridge, daughter Dainjer Slye, his son in law Joshua and his beloved little dog, Rocky, as well as countless family and friends, who will miss him.
Andy was a staple of Recovery Plus in Fairborn, where he founded the first meeting and celebrated over 9 years of sobriety. He helped hundreds of people get and stay sober through Alcoholics Anonymous. His passion for fixing thing that were broker extended to helping others find their way, and he leaves behind a legacy of hope and recovery.
Andy had a deep love for Harley-Davidson motorcycles, and spent many happy hours riding and tinkering with his bikes. He never met a stranger, making friends wherever he went. His infectious laughter would light up a room, and he will be deeply missed by all who knew him.
A Celebration of Life will be held at 2pm on Saturday, January 6, 2024 at Recovery Plus, 333 N. Broad St., Fairborn, Ohio with services led by Rev. Troy Slagel.
