Charles Robert Brinkley age 88 of Lake Panasoffkee, Florida died on Thursday, January 16, 2014 at Leesburg Regional Medical Center. He was born the son Allen & Maude (Nichoals) Brinkley on December 18, 1925 in Ironton, Ohio. He is preceded in death by his parents, 2 brothers John Brinkley and Allen Brinkley Jr., and a sister Reba Brashear. He is survived by his loving children Julia (Pete) Moniz of Lake Panasoffkee, Florida and Dan (Melissa) Kendig of Virginia Beach, Virginia, several grandchildren, many great grandchildren, nieces and nephews. Charles served his county with the United States Air force and 13th Army Air Corp retiring after 35 years of faithful service. He served in World War II and spent 3 tours TDY in Vietnam. He also was a 25 year member of the Century Club. Charles was a loving father, grandfather, and uncle. He will be missed by all who love him.
