Gordon’s life was a testament to the power of communication and connection. His love for talking was not just a pastime, but a way of life. He had an innate ability to reach out and keep in touch with friends and relatives, weaving a tapestry of relationships that spanned decades and distances. His conversations, often long and filled with laughter, were not only a source of joy for him, but also a comfort for those who had the joy of knowing him.
Family was the cornerstone of Gordon’s life. His love for his family was evident in everything he did. The way his entire face lit up with a beaming smile and twinkling eyes is a cherished memory that will be held dear by all who knew him. He was a source of strength, guidance, and endless support to his loved ones. He loved the people God gave him and we have all been blessed by his presence in our lives.
As we bid farewell to Gordon, we celebrate a life richly lived and profoundly impactful. He leaves behind a legacy of warmth, kindness, and the enduring power of staying connected. His absence will be deeply felt, but his spirit will continue to live on in the hearts of all those he touched.
Life is a journey, not a destination, and his certainly was a ride worth sharing. As he takes his final rest stop, we are grateful for the miles he covered and the tracks he left in all our hearts. In honor of Gordon let us remember to cherish our relationships, laugh heartily, and love unconditionally. A funeral service for Gordon will be held at the Glen Haven Memorial Garden Chapel, 8200 W National Rd. New Carlisle, OH on Thursday, February 1, 2024 at 12 Noon with Rick Fiste officiating.
