Born at Saint Elizabeth Hospital of Dayton, Ohio. Jed resided in Xenia, Ohio.
On Thursday October 5th, Jedidhia William Wood of Xenia passed away at the age of 29.
Jed was a graduate of the Greene County Career (Xenia, Ohio) (Power Equipment Lab) in 2013. Jed also received his Associates degree as a Diesel Engine Performance Diagnostics Mechanic from North Western of Lima, Ohio in 2015.
Jed was the type of person that would take the shirt off his back for you. He was whole hearted with an old soul. He loved to be outdoors and around a campfire with his close buddies. With the drop of a hat he would be there for you any time of the day. Jed was the go to mechanic, he was always turning wrenches. He was the guy you called if you needed ANYTHING fixed. He was a go getter, he was very independent and perfected anything he put his mind to. His smile would light up a room and his laugh was so contagious. If his name was spoken, you knew who he was. Jed was the most genuine person. He was a great father, son, brother, uncle and friend. This isn’t the way it should have been. Jed will forever be missed but will never be forgotten.
He is remembered by his Mother Leanne Hoffman, Daughter Railynn J Wood, Brother Wyatt Wood (Danielle Slater) Nieces and Nephews Graclynn Smith, Blake Wood, Brennon Wood, Grandmother Susan Thompson, Half Sister Ashley L Wood, Uncle Todd and Jennifer (Thompson), 8 first cousins and 12 second cousins. As well as many, many friends. Jedidiah was preceded in death by his Father- William D. Wood and his Grandparents William and Elizabeth (Wood), and Joseph Thompson.
The family will receive friends on Friday, October 13th from 11am to 1pm at Burcham Tobias Funeral Home, 119 E. Main St., in Fairborn, Ohio. A Service in Memory will take place at 1pm, Pastor Ron Swigert will officiate. Burial will follow at Byron Cemetery in Fairborn.
