Mary Osborn

MARY OSBORN, age 98 of Fairborn passed away peacefully on Wednesday, September 26, 2012 at The Summit at Park Hills. She was born the daughter of Henry & Elizabeth (Flint) Kline on June 23, 1914 in Lima, Ohio. She was united in marriage to Jesse Osborn on October 8, 1932. To this union were born three sons: Roger (Yvonne) of Ashland, Ohio; Dale (Becky) of North Canton, Ohio; and David (Carolyn) of Beavercreek, Ohio. Other survivors include five grandchildren: Sheri Etzwiler; Kristina Osborn; Jeannette (Phil) Richmann; Rachel (T.J.) Mitchell; and Jared (Lori) Osborn. Great-grandchildren are Makala, Malana, and Malia Etzwiler; Jaime, Jacob, Jesse, and Haley Richmann; and John and Grace Mitchell. Mary is also survived by a number of relatives and close friends. Mary was preceded in death by her loving husband in 1986; by her parents; and by her sister and brother-in-law Sarah and George Kocher. Mary told the story of her life in her book “Love’s Long Journey.” Mary enjoyed teaching piano. Mary was a charter member of Rona Community Church where she was very active serving as a Deaconess and teaching Sunday School for many years. Her entire life revolved around serving her Lord. Mary was a loving wife; mother; grandmother; great grandmother and she will be missed by all who knew her.

Friends may call in the Burcham Jennings Funeral Home, 119 E. Main Street, on Sunday, September 30, 2012 from 2PM-4PM. An additional viewing will be held 1 hour prior to services 10AM-11AM at Rona Community Church. Funeral services will be held on Monday, October 1, 2012 at Rona Community Church, 1082 Rona Parkway Dr. Fairborn, Ohio at 11AM with Pastor Jim Smith officiating. Interment will follow at Fairfield Cemetery, Fairborn, Ohio. In lieu of flowers memorial gifts can be made to the Rona Community Church Missions Fund.
