She graduated from Xenia Central High School in 1947 and went on to marry Oral Crabtree Jr. “June” on February 21, 1948 and settled in Fairborn. She and her husband had two children. After her children were growing, Rose began an in home daycare, caring for many children over the years. Reading, crochet, and playing cards were among her favorite pastimes.
Aside from her loving parents, she is preceded in death by her loving husband, June; step father, Fred Richards; siblings, Dick, Daisy, Paul and John.
She is survived by two children, Rick Crabtree and Robin Tipton (Steve); two grandchildren, Kelly Tipton and Hallie Owsiany (Chris); and two great grandchildren, Grayce Tipton and Carson Hill. A special niece; Linda Gum as well as numerous nieces, nephews, extended family and close friends.
Funeral service will be held on Wednesday, June 12, 2024 at 12 NOON at Burcham Tobias Funeral Home (119 E. Main Street, Fairborn, OH 45324). Visitation will be held from 11:00 AM until the start of services. She will be laid to rest next to her beloved husband June in Glenn Haven Memorial Gardens, New Carlisle.
In lieu of flowers, expressions of sympathy may take the form of donations to the Fairborn Senior Center in Rose’s Memory.
