Scott was a die-hard soft ball player, who coached as well as played for the “Boys” travelling softball team in Dayton. He was the kind of guy who never met a stranger who easily made friends. With his profession as a bouncer at many notable bars in Dayton; Hammer Jax and Ned Peppers to name a few. He became a well-known part of the Oregon District Community. When he wasn’t coaching softball or working in the Oregon, you would most likely see him at home spending time with his family, especially his nieces and nephews, which he adored. He enjoyed playing darts, he played often at the Fairborn Moose Lodge. He also was a keen card player who had a knack for Texas Hold’em; his card playing skills undoubtedly landed him to Vegas.
Scott is preceded in death by his paternal grandparents, Martha Jane and David Munoz; his maternal grandparents, Helen and Orville Pike. He is also preceded in death by his uncle, Joe Pike; and his aunt, Elizabeth Lewis.
He is survived by his loving parents, Pamela and Douglas Munoz; his brother, James Munoz; niece, Kalleigh Munoz; three nephews, Tyler Munoz, Oliver Munoz and Christopher Dutton; he also survived by numerous aunts, uncles, cousins, extended family and close friends.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, March 28, 2024 from 4:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. at Burcham Tobias Funeral Home (119 East Main Street, Fairborn, Ohio 45324).Funeral service will be held on Saturday, March 30, 2024 at 10:00 a.m. at the funeral home with visitation held after 9:30 a.m. He will be laid to rest at Byron Cemetery in Fairborn, Ohio.
A benefit for Scott will take place at 7:00 p.m. on Friday, March 29, 2024 at the Fairborn Moose Lodge (1550 Kauffman Avenue, Fairborn, Ohio 45324)
