Wilbur Ryle

Wilbur Ryle, age 92, of Fairborn, Ohio passed away on Wednesday, May 3, 2023 at Shawnee Estates Sr. Living in Xenia. He is preceded in death by his parents, Wilbur and Mary Ryle, as well as a brother, Larry Ryle and sister, Dolores Wray. He is also preceded in death by his granddaughter, Katie Ryle, daughter-in-law Jeanith Ryle, sister Marjorie Ryle, and infant brother, Ivan Ryle. He is survived by a son, Les Ryle, of Marion, OH, three grandchildren: Gregory (Kathryn) Ryle, Brooke Ryle and Christopher (Allison) Ryle. Five great-grandchildren also survive him: Damien Ryle, Isabella Ryle, Adyson Ryle-Clemons, Jase Ryle, and Beau Ryle, as well as a brother, Carol Ryle, sister, Orilla Baker, sister-in-law Alice Ryle and numerous nieces, nephews and cousins. Wilbur loved to travel and went on many overseas trips; he was a pilot and loved flying as well as hunting and fishing. He was a member of the WPAFB Aero Club and Rod and Gun Club. At the beginning of his Air Force Career he was involved with the Berlin Airlift and went on to enjoy a long career in aircraft mechanics. He was also an avid Cincinnati Reds fan. Visitation will be held at the Burcham Tobias Funeral home on Thursday, May 11, 2023 from 5-7 PM. A graveside service will be held at Belleview Baptist Cemetery in Burlington, KY on Saturday, May 13, 2023 at 11 AM.
