Geneva Hope Stamper McGuire

Geneva Stamper McGuire, 89, of Louisville, passed away August 19 at Parkway Nursing Center. She was born January 20, 1923 in Grassy Creek, Morgan County, KY. Geneva was the eldest child of the late Lon & Nova Nickell Stamper. She was a bookkeeper and also worked at Brantley Security for many years. She was a member of the Eastern Star and Okolona Presbyterian Church.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a infant son, Richard Lee McGuire, grandson, Justin Grant Turner, son-in-law, James P. Turner, brother, Lon Stamper, Jr., sister, Orene Block Crammer.

Geneva is survived by husband of 69 years, Ronald C. McGuire of Louisville, son, Ronald W. McGuire (Sandra ) of Eaton Ohio, daughter, Patricia Turner of Louisville, grandsons, Tony McGuire, of Eaton, Ohio, Brent Turner (Deborah) of Louisville, granddaughters, Kellye Beasley (John) of Union, KY and Jessica Turner (Will Moore) of Louisville. She is also survived by her great grandsons, Ty L. McGuire (Leanna Jackson) and Ren J. McGuire of Eaton Ohio, Nathaniel Turner of Louisville and great granddaughters, Natalie Turner of Louisville & Chelan Beasley of Union, KY., also surving her brother Paul Stamper (Erma), sisters, Aleta Chaney & Betty Cecil (Charles), sister-in-law, Betty Jo Stamper and many nieces & nephews.

Visitation is at Fairdale-McDaniel Funeral Home 411 Fairdale Rd. Thursday 1-8 PM. Funeral will be at 1 PM Saturday at Herald, Stewart & Halsey Funeral Home, West Liberty, KY. Burial will follow at the Ezel Cemetery.
