Jessie Lee Waldrews Blevins

89, of Fairdale, passed away Tuesday, April 26, 2017. She was the former Jessie Waldrews. She was not your average grandma.- she rode in a race car at the Petty Driving School, flew several practice landings and take off with her grandson and even flew in a Huey. She was a long time member of First Baptist Church of Fairdale and was so proud to see her nursery babies grow into fine young people of the church She loved her Golden Friends and traveling with the Toby & Shockley Tours, She volunteered for over 25 years (well into her 80"s) at the Fairdale Community Nutrition Center.

She was preceded by her husband, Edward E. Blevins, brothers, Bill & George Waldrews, sister Eva Roberts, granddaughter, Brandy Mitchell and son in law Donald Mitchell.

She is survived by her children, Eddie Blevins and Sandie Mitchell, grandchildren, Michael Mitchell (Dynasty), Justin Mitchell (April), great grandchildren, Tyler, Karstyn, Brandyn, Mackenzie, Johanna & Alex and her sister Mildred Roth.

Her last years were spent at Brookdale Assisted Living and along with their loving care she met some new friends and enjoyed some new experience and still had wonderful visits with her dear friends from Fairdale.

Funeral Service for Jessie will be 11AM Tuesday, May 2, 2017 at Fairdale-McDaniel Funeral Home 411 Fairdale Road with entombment in Evergreen Cemetery. Visitation will be 2-7PM Monday at the funeral home.
