Doug retired from Ford Motor Company. He served in the U.S. Army and fought in the Korean War, also the treasurer and member of the VFW. He was known as being a huge University of Kentucky fan.
He is preceded in death by his parents; sisters, Mildred Mills, Charlotte Coffey; and brother, Roger Mills.
He is survived by his children, Stephanie Morris (Donnie), Douglas Mills; grandchildren, Brooklyn Phillips, Elizabeth Flowers, Cameron Morris, Bailee Morris, Donnie Morris (Mikayla), Courtney Morris, Chris Workman (Alisha); great-granddaughter, Ava Workman; siblings, Tom Mills, Mike Mills, Donna Curtsinger, Mona Caple, Buke Caudill, Dale Mills; several nieces and nephews; and his beloved Chihuahua, Bella.
Visitation will be held on Tuesday, October 17, 2023 from 11am-6pm at Fairdale McDaniel Funeral Home, 411 Fairdale Road, Fairdale, KY. Service will be held at 6pm.
