Rita Marie Mudd, 81, of Clarksville, IN passed away on Saturday, May 20, 2023. She was born June 3, 1941 to the late Joseph Yates and Mary Napper.

Rita loved her family, the animals she had, and most of all, spending time with her grandchildren. Her favorite past time was watching wrestling.

She is preceded in death by her parents, Joseph Yates, Mary Napper; spouses, Billy Ray Whitlock Sr., David Mudd; children, Cheryl Whitlock, Jimmy Whitlock; son-in-law, Stacey Fix; siblings, JB Yates, Sarah Bell, Joe Yates, Shirley Smith, Lena Yates, and Sandra Norris.

Rita is survived by her children, Linda Whitlock, Marianne Fix, Billy Ray Whitlock Jr. (Shannon), David Lee Whitlock, Loretta Lynn Price (Butch); siblings, Brenda Fitch, David Yates, Gerry Yates; 18 grandchildren; and 34 great-grandchildren.

Visitation will be held on Thursday, May 25, 2023 from 2-8PM at Arch L. Heady & Son Funeral Home, 8519 Preston Highway, Louisville, KY. Service will be on Friday, May 26, 2023 at 11AM at Arch L. Heady & Son Funeral Home, 8519 Preston Highway, Louisville, KY. Burial to follow at Holy Trinity Cemetery in Springfield, KY.
