Robert G. "Bob" Heightchew

Heightchew, Robert G. “Bob” 72 returned to his Heavenly Father on January 15, 2015. He was preceded in death by his parents Lester Heightchew (Molly) and Rosie Hatfield Heightchew, brother Charles Heightchew Sr. and stepson Don Willis Jr.. Bob retired from Proctor & Gamble, a faithful member of Blessed Theresa of Calcutta Catholic Church and The Deputy Grand Knight and past Chancellor of “Knights of Columbus”. He was also a former Fairdale Councilman, a former board member for the KY State Manufacture Housing Industry, a “LION” for 30 years where he served as President of the Fairdale Lions Club. Bob served eight years in the 138th Field Artillery KY National Guard and was also a KY Colonel. Bob is survived by his wife Wilma, children Bobbie Jean Rose, Debbie Willis, Mike Heightchew (Rosie) and Kenneth Heightchew, eleven grandchildren and siblings Wanda Sand, Dorothy, Marlene, Art and sister-in-law Shirley Heightchew. A funeral mass will be held Friday at 12 noon at Blessed Teresa of Calcutta Catholic Church followed by cremation. Visitation will start Friday at 9:30am at Fairdale McDaniel Funeral Home. Then we will process to the church at 12 noon for Bob’s funeral mass. Expressions of sympathy can be made to Hosparus of Louisville, Lions Camp Crescendo, Blessed Teresa of Calcutta Catholic Church or Knights of Columbus.
