Dorothy Mary Prouty (nee Studd) April 19, 1922 – December 1, 2015; Beloved wife of the late Lt. Col. Robert V. Prouty. She was also predeceased by her parents, Frederick and Dorothy Studd, brother, Robert Studd, and sister Kathleen Seiver. She leaves behind her sons, Robert, Mark (Marie), Peter (Rosemary), Michael, daughter, Victoria Mizerak (John), grandchildren Vincent Prouty, Jennifer McDermott, Kathryn Breytspraak, Kevin Prouty, and five great grandchildren. Dot was born in Boggabri, New South Wales, Australia. She moved to Sidney early in life and there, during WWII, met her future husband. She immigrated to the United States to wait for him to finish his duties and they married. She spent her life caring for five children as they moved around the world as an Air Force family. Services will be held at Truro Church Chapel 10520 Main St, Fairfax, Va. on Monday December 7, 2015 at 11am. Burial will be at Arlington National Cemetery at a future date.
