Flor was born in El Salvador, raised in California and has resided in Virginia for many years. She is survived by her husband Rene Hernandez, mother Linda, 5 siblings, mother in law, brothers/sisters in law, nephews, nieces and many friends.
Flor will be remembered by many accomplishments, one of them being a charity she helped organized events; Adesco Canton Hacienda La Carrera (Facebook), collecting funds and organizing to feed and dress the elderly and children. The toy drive in Christmas to La Carrera’s children made her the happiest and the one she loved the most.
“Florcita” is loved by so many, lots of books would be needed to write all names. She loved children, all of them specially those from her last job at Minnieland. She found the job rewarding and fulfilling. She believed all children are here to make a difference in life and she wanted to leave a mark in their life by teaching them to love and respect their parents, siblings, all adults and to work in teams at school. She believed in them 100%.
Florcita was an avid fan of all sports, specially soccer, the Alianza team to be exact and together with Rene did not lose a chance to go to games and participate in quinielas which she often won, she also loved going on impromptu trips everywhere in the US. She loved all kinds of flowers and her favorite weather was the fall for the spectrum of all beautiful colors. Flor was happy and will forever be loved.
Flor will be laid to rest at Oakdale Memorial Park in Glendora, California. 1401 S. Grand Ave. Glendora, CA 91740.
