I'm sorry I didn't keep in better touch with you guys but your Mom/grandmother and I did send cards on our birthdays every year. 
We started a friendship on Forest St.in Alexandria long ago (see picture #12--I'm on the left.) and at least once a year we caught up.  I'm so sorry for your loss--I'll miss her too.

My heart is so full right now.  I just learned your mom passed away and please know you are in my deepest thoughts. It is that time of our lives where there is so much change, and although we have grown apart in many ways which happens in life, I am flooded with memories of my childhood and warm, wonderful, fun and happy times and holidays in your home. As I scrolled through the pictures it brought back so many special memories. 
I am so very, very sorry for the loss of your mom, and wish Uncle Herb and all of your my loving thoughts. Thank you for giving me the same.

Fran & Herb were our neighbors and friends for some 50 years. They were a very close and friendly family. We will miss Fran.

Well guys, my mom and your mom can get together and lament about the Redskins together now. After mom died, your mom took care of me in many ways. She treated my infected ankle, taught me to cook string beans in a pressure cooker when I was making dinner for friends and so much more.  I will miss her.

Fran and Herb became our very close Redskin fan friends  since 1964 where we first met at RFK Stadium in section 522. We shared a lot of good times over the years when we tailgated at the games and met for socials during the off seasons. We have a lot of great memories of the fun and good times we had over the years. Fran - God speed and we will miss you so very much.  With love - Ann and Dick Crawford.

Pam and I are so saddened to her of your mom's passing.  She was like a second mother to me growing up with Steve and I will miss her dearly. I'm glad I got to stop by the house and see and talk with her and Herb last year when I visited Fairfax. She was such a wonderful and caring person.
