Jaime was born in Biñan, Philippines on August 17, 1936 to Andres and Leonila Legasto as the eldest of five siblings along with Manoling, Auring, Cesar, and Berting. Jaime was a graduate of Far Eastern University where he received a Bachelor of Science in Business Economics. He and his wife, Celia, married in 1963 in the Philippines, and in 1986, Jaime and Celia made their move to the United States and moved to Staten Island, New York; where they spent the next 35 years before moving to Northern Virginia.
Jaime was a very social person, and he loved meeting new friends. He also enjoyed ballroom dancing, traveling the world, listening to music, and shopping. He is survived by two daughters, Glesilda and Maria, and their sons in law, Ed Loyola and Raymond Pineda; and grandchildren Rachelle, Vincent, Edward, Gabrielle, and Ruben, and one great-granddaughter, Madelyn.
Eternal rest grant unto the soul of Jaime Legasto, O Lord,
And let Your perpetual light shine upon him,
May he rest in peace,
Amen
