Janet taught me how to swim at Rainbow Lake when we were about 13 yrs old.  My parents, Don and Norma Bosworth were good friends with Lyle and Esther, they used to camp together .  I have a picture of them at Pictured Rocks in the upper penninsula of Michigan. Back in the 30's probably.  I remember when they would come over to my parents.  I remember Jack and Joe also.  So sorry for your loss.

Janet and I worked closely together as ESOL teachers from 2005 to present.   She was an extremely curious, bright teacher, and dedicated to her students.  We were political allies and shared many conversations about our hopes and concerns for our country.  I always enjoyed seeing what kind of jewelry Janet would have on that day...as she really found such joy in her purchases.  She told me once that even if she was having a rough day or not feeling great, putting on a piece of jewelry made her feel better!  What I truly admire most about Janet is her strength during her illness, and her strength as a mother and teacher.  Only on a  couple of occasions, did she semi-break down about a report from a doctor.  Truly, I will always remember Janet for this stoicism, and will hope to practice it in my own life. I wish, for her sake, that she could be here with her sons and grandchildren longer, because I know she would want that, but her contributions will be everlasting.   I will miss her, but the people who will miss her more, are her students.  May she rest in peace as she truly made the world a better place.

In the movie, "I Never Sang For My Father," there is an interesting  quote. "Death ends a life but it doesn't end a relationship, which continues on in the survivors mind........"

We had so much fun together. There were day trips, lunches, jewelry shows, and many evening conversations. Often she talked about her students and her plans to help various individuals with their special needs. She was a dedicated and caring mother, grandmother,friend and teacher. I will alway remember so many good times and her wonderful warm smile. My prayers are with her family at this time.

I am sorry to hear of Janet's passing. We worked closely together, as ESL teachers,  since 2005. She was dedicated to her students for every single moment of those years, and they, in turn, held their teacher in high esteem. I will miss her, and our conversations, not only about students, but about her sons , grandchildren, the stock market, and other world affairs. The education field has truly lost a most dedicated teacher, and Janet deserves the most dedicated teacher award!

Janet was a colleague at Glasgow M.S.  We had known each other for years, before I learned that she had graduated from Michigan State where my dad had been a professor.  We were so busy working that we didn't have time to get to the good stuff. Janet's dedication to her students was noteworthy by everyone who knew her.  We will miss you.

Janet was a friend and colleague of mine at Glasgow Middle School.  She was generous, kind, energetic, and a consummate teacher.  She will be greatly missed.  I hope her family will find comfort in the knowledge that Janet not only touched their lives, but so many, many others.

Janet was a good friend and remarkable teacher. I am so glad that I had the privilege of working with her at South County Secondary. I will always remember her.

Janet will be missed by her extended family in Michigan even if we haven't seen her in a while.  She was a very dedicated person and all who knew her can vouch for that.  Hugs for all of you-sons, daughter's-in-law,  and brothers.  My condolences.

Janet was an amazing teacher and colleague. Her students benefited from her dedication and creative projects.  She will be missed, and I will miss working with her.

Janet was a lovely person with a kind and gentle spirit. She was the kind of teacher every parent hopes and prays their child will have one day. She truly loved working with her ESOL students and taught them so much more than English language skills. May her family find comfort in knowing how much she was loved and respected by her colleagues. We will miss her.

Janet was an amazing teacher!  I was fortunate to work on several projects with her and was so impressed by her commitment to both her ESOL students and the student body at large.  Janet cared.  She will be missed.

Janet was the most devoted teacher to her students and colleagues. I watched her work miracles with her ESOL students. She was kind, funny, loving, and dedicated. I can't express the loss South County will feel at her passing. We will miss you dearly, Janet.

Janet was a lovely person and teacher to many! I am proud to have called her friend and colleague!
