John Edelbrock passed away suddenly on September 10, 2015, after a brief illness, with his wife of 26 years, Donna Wood at his side. In addition to his wife, he leaves behind his stepmother, Elizabeth Edelbrock, Donna’s mother, sister and brother and their spouses. He is also survived by numerous cousins, two nieces and an extraordinary number of friends who were considered family. He will be missed by his beloved dogs, Jazz and Sally. John served in the Armed Forces as an Army diver. He attended the Institute for European Studies, the University of Vienna and received his MBA from the College of William and Mary. After working for over 20 years in Sales and Sales Management with AT&T, John embarked on his second career as a financial advisor. He established Chesapeake Pension Group LLC, where he worked until his death. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests memorial gifts to Friends of Homeless Animals (FOHA) or a charity of choice.
