Julie Ann (McCutcheon) Duncan, 50, of Annandale, VA passed away Saturday, January 18, 2020 after a courageous six year battle with breast cancer. Born in Cumberland, MD on October 20, 1969, she was the daughter of the late James E. and Wilhelmina M. (Knott) McCutcheon and Margaret L. Hannon (O’Brien) McCutcheon, Frostburg, MD.
Julie was a Program Analyst with the Carderock Division of the Naval Surface Warfare Center, West Bethesda, MD. She was a graduate of Frostburg State University, Frostburg MD.
She is survived by her mother Margie Lee, husband James, daughter Megan, son Trevor, all of Annandale, brother Jim “Mickey” McCutcheon, Allamuchy, NJ, sister Lana (Marvin) Miller, Kingwood WV, step brothers Bob (Helen) Hannon, Westernport, MD and Chris (Wendy) Hannon, Cumberland MD, and many nieces and nephews.
Julie was a loving wife, mother, daughter, sister and aunt. She enjoyed traveling extensively with her family. She was a member of the Rockville Jaycees after graduating college from which she made life-long friends.
A public memorial service for Julie will be held at St. Matthew’s United Methodist Church in Annandale, Virginia on Saturday January 25th at 1:00 PM with a reception to follow in The Commons.
