Neil Francis McAllister

Neil Francis McAllister, Ph.D., originally from Philadelphia, PA, died peacefully on Sunday October 30th in Fairfax, VA, at the age of 79. Neil was a graduate of West Catholic High School, Villanova University and received his Ph.D. in Electrical Engineering, from the University of Pennsylvania. Neil started his career at RCA in Camden, New Jersey. He moved his family to Virginia in 1967 to work at CSC, the Department of Navy and retired from TASC in 2001. He was preceded, in death, by the love of his life, Barbara Ann McAllister and his eldest child, Barbara. He is survived by his beloved children, Karen, Neil (Kelly), Colleen (Francis), Kevin (Casey), Michele (Matt), and Donna (Rob) and his grandchildren, who brought him great happiness – Danielle, Alexandra, Devin, Madison, Jackson, Agnese, Wade, Brandon, Stella and Chase. Visitation will be Wednesday, Nov. 2nd from 5:00 – 8:00 pm at Demaine Funeral Home, 10565 Main Street, Fairfax, VA 22030. Funeral services will be held at St. Ambrose Catholic Church, 3829 Woodburn Road, Annandale, VA on Thursday, Nov. 3rd at 11:00 a.m. Interment will be at Holy Cross Cemetery, 626 Bailey Road, Yeadon, PA on Friday, Nov. 4th.
