It is with great sadness that Patrick William McInerney passed away on Sunday, December 30, 2018 at the age of 55. Patrick was born on May 13, 1963 in Lincoln, NE. He graduated from Oakton High School in Vienna, VA in 1981, and earned a bachelor’s degree from Strayer University in Virginia. He worked as an accountant for a majority of his life in Fairfax, VA. Patrick was lovingly called Hodi by his close friends and family. He is survived by his oldest son Patrick Francis McInerney of Norman, OK, and sons Christopher, Jason, and Ryan of Manassas, VA. He is also survived by his oldest sister Maureen Hendricks, her husband Michael, and their three children, Molly, Michael Jr., and Megan; older brother Francis and his wife Johnice; and his youngest sister Mary Denise Cybulski, her husband Alan, and their four children, Ashley, Alan Jr., William, and Madeline. The family wants to acknowledge with gratitude his AA family in the Northern Virginia area who supported and loved him for almost three decades. He was always appreciative of the fact that he only received one 24-hour chip. We will always remember his loving heart, generous spirit, and hearty laugh. Hodi, we love you and we will miss you always. The visitation and prayer service will be held on Friday, January 4, 2018 at: Demaine Funeral Home 10565 Main Street Fairfax, VA 22030 Visitation at 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM With a Prayer Service at 3:00 PM Funeral Liturgy will be at 4:00 PM Reception to follow at: Fairfax Marriott at Fair Oaks 11787 Lee Jackson Memorial Highway Fairfax, VA 22033 In lieu of flowers, donations by check at the service can be made to either of the following organizations: Stepping Stones Inc., an AA community and Patrick's second family, or Matt Talbot Group 75, an AA retreat (donations will go to the those who want to attend the retreat, but cannot afford it.
