Born on November 16, 1959, in Alexandria, Virginia, to the late Dikran and Patricia Kavaljian, Peter was a proud graduate of Virginia Polytechnic Institute and State University (Virginia Tech), Class of 1982. During his time at Virginia Tech, he was a member of the Phi Kappa Sigma fraternity, played soccer, and sang in acappella groups, including barbershop quartets. As a lifelong sports fan, he loved cheering on his Washington teams and his alma mater, the Virginia Tech Hokies.
After college, Peter built a distinguished career in real estate and title work. In 1999, he founded Independence Title, which he owned and operated for more than 25 years. Known for his dedication, honesty, and integrity, he earned the respect and admiration of friends and colleagues across Northern Virginia. Everyone who knew Peter will remember his laughter, stories, and the moments of joy he created, as he truly was the Man in Demand.
Peter is survived by his wife, Allyson, his son Maximillian, his stepbrother Dikran and wife Polina Kavaljian, along with many nieces, nephews, and cousins whom he loved dearly. He was preceded in death by his brother Stephen Kavaljian, and his stepmother, Ann Kavaljian.
