Thomas Joseph Freaney III

Thomas Joseph Freaney III, known fondly as "Timmy", of Alexandria, VA, passed away peacefully at his home on September 16, 2019. He was born on November 27, 1943, to Thomas Freaney, Jr., and his wife, Ruth Reel Freaney in San Antonio, Texas. Timmy far exceeded the limitations he was born with. A quiet and gentle soul, Timmy was a well-mannered man who enjoyed good food and the company of his caregivers and roommates. He liked to rock and swing, strum his guitar, play notes on the piano, and take walks when he was able to with those who provided him with exceptional care--Timmy was very happy in his environment. His tender presence will be missed by those in his community, and his impact on all who loved him will remain with us until we are reunited in Heaven, where limitations no longer exist. Timmy was preceded in death by his mother, who passed in 1992; his father, who passed in 2006; his infant brother, Michael Patrick Freaney who passed in 1945; his uncle, Patrick Freaney of Tallahassee, FL., and his aunt, Betty Rowand of Erie, PA. He is survived by his uncle, Robert Freaney of Las Vegas, NV, and numerous cousins residing in various states across the country. Timmy will be laid to rest with his parents in Arlington National Cemetery.
