

Born in Acushnet, a daughter of the late Joseph and Eva (Dufresne) Olivier and step-daughter of the late Adelard Olivier, she lived most her life in Acushnet before moving to Rochester three years ago. Mrs. Santos was a communicant of St. Francis Xavier Parish.
Mrs. Santos attended Holy Family School. She later became active in her church where she was a Eucharistic Minister. She was a deeply spiritual person and was committed to the Cursillo Movement at La Salette Shrine.
After her husband’s retirement, the two enjoyed traveling and spending winters in Florida. She loved to knit and her real passion was her family.
She is survived by five daughters, Joanne West and her husband Richard of Lakeville, Susan Meyer and her husband Christiaan of Oak Bluffs, Linda Brodeur of Rochester, Mary Duperre and her husband Ronald of Acushnet, and Katherine Santos and her partner Kheli Mason of Colorado; two sons, Richard Santos and his wife Maria of NH and Mark Santos and his wife Kathleen of NH; two sisters, Beatrice Poulin of Acushnet and Sr. Claire Olivier of CA; one brother, Leo Olivier of FL; dear family friend, Paul Sorelle of Freetown; seventeen grandchildren; fifteen great grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.
She was the mother of the late Karen A. and David Santos, sister of the late Joseph and Dr. Norman Olivier and mother-in-law of the late Raymond Brodeur.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend her funeral mass Friday, October 24, 2014 at 10 a.m. in St. Francis Xavier Parish, 125 Main St., Acushnet. Burial will follow in Sacred Heart Cemetery. Visiting hours, Thursday 5-8 p.m. in the Waring-Sullivan Home of Memorial Tribute at Fairlawn, 180 Washington St., Fairhaven. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to Society of St. Vincent de Paul, 18 Canton St., Stoughton, MA 02072.
