Born in Wareham, a son of the late Clarence Joseph and Kathryn (Ellis) Nowak he was a lifelong area resident. David served in the United States Army during the Vietnam War.
Mr. Nowak worked as a social worker for the Department of Transitional Assistance. In his spare time, he enjoyed metal detecting and was known for being very kind. Most of all, he loved being with his family.
He is survived by his children, Petra Bruce and her husband James of Dartmouth, Kathryn E. Nowak of E. Providence, RI, Bobby, and Alice; and grandchildren, William Charpentier, Ariana Santana, Joseph Santana, Donavin Gobern, and Callan Bruce.
His funeral service will be Friday, February 4, 2022 at 12 noon in the WARING-SULLIVAN HOME at FAIRLAWN, 180 Washington St., Fairhaven. Visitation will be prior 10 a.m. until 12 noon.
