James M. Plummer, age 24 of Fairhaven, passed away on Sunday, April 4, 2021 in St. Luke's Hospital, with his loving family at his side. He was the beloved son of Brian T. and Martha L. (Menard) Plummer.
Born in Haverhill, James was a longtime resident of Fairhaven. He graduated from Fairhaven High School, class of 2014. After graduation he attended Bristol Community College and UMASS Lowell. He was employed by West Island Marina for many years.
Jamie loved his family and friends dearly.He was a natural athlete, who played high school football and reveled in any physical activity. He was an avid snowboarder, skateboarder and sneaker connoisseur. He was happiest spending time in nature, especially hiking local trails and kayaking in Little Bay. Special times were spent with his mom and sister spotting Hummingbirds come to the window feeder. Jamie was modest and kind to everyone around him. Above all, he was a caring, loyal son, brother, and friend who would lend a helping hand to anyone and never ask for anything in return.
In addition to his parents, he is survived by his siblings, Kristen Plummer and her fiancé Nate Greene of Dartmouth, Eric Plummer and his companion Amanda Kramer of New Bedford and Caitlyn Plummer of Fairhaven; his grandmother, Kathleen Plummer of Fairhaven; his uncles, Charles Plummer and his wife Pamela of Groveland and Edward Plummer and his wife Susan Schnabel of Texas; his cousins, Cameron, Luke and Nick Plummer; and his many, many friends. He was the grandson of the late Lionel and Solveig Menard and Charles Plummer.

James outdoor funeral service will be held on Friday, April 9, 2021 at 11:00AM in the Trinity Lutheran Church, 16 Temple Place, Fairhaven, MA 02719. PLEASE BRING LAWN CHAIRS FOR THE SERVICE. Relatives and friends are invited. Visitation will be Thursday from 4:00 to 8:00PM in the WARING-SULLIVAN HOME at FAIRLAWN, 180 Washington Street, Fairhaven, MA 02719. Burial will be private.
